Update for Readers: Covid-19

First of all, I would like to say hello to everyone reading this. It has been a while since my last post. This is due to an overwhelming work schedule and events taking place in my personal life which have needed to take priority over the past few months however I am happy to have been able to maintain contact with those of you who have contacted me directly.

There are many posts, articles, news alerts and emails appearing in your notifications and spam folders at the moment regarding the current global state we find ourselves in. Therefore, I do not wish to do the same and get you to read the same generic message you have received from every other business or outlet. I am going to keep this short, sweet and to the point.

I would like to inform you that as of now, as in line with government recommendations and advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO) due to the spread of Coronavirus, HandiChap Disability Consultancy is still open for business, however will only be providing remote services. All services can be accessed via Video Conferencing, Telephone and Email Correspondence. Services still operating are: Consultations; Disability Equality & Awareness Training and 1:1 Coaching.

Any questions or enquiries please direct them towards myself via the Contact Page.

These are extraordinary times. Measures have been put in place by the ruling powers that be to control the spread of this deadly virus as best as possible. I plea that you adhere to these warnings and follow the guidance and direction provided by those in authority as they truly do know best. Better than ourselves as individuals ever could. Yes, we may have to not see each other as much, or even at all for now. We may have to be isolated in our homes like being in a fish tank. But we can do this. Humankind has shown time and time again a beautiful ability to adapt and overcome when necessary. People with disabilities may be considered vulnerable, but at the same time, those of us who are disabled live each day having to adapt to new situations, follow medical advice and make the most of and appreciate what we have got rather than dwell on what we haven’t. On paper we may be ‘vulnerable’ but inside we are in fact MORE PREPARED.

To everyone reading this, whether you are a person with a disability or not, I ask you to stay positive, to stay together as a people in staying away from each other for now, to use this global tragedy as an opportunity to show some humanity and love in a world which could do with a bit more anyway.

You have our full support here at HandiChap Disability Consultancy. Look out for more updates in the following days.

Stay safe everyone,

Ollie
